Dr. Richard Woods – Director

Richard holds a PhD, a BSc. and a Graduate Diploma in Business Management from LaTrobe University.

Richard has a 20-year background in environmental and sustainability project feasibility and management, environmental research, statistical analysis, environmental cost benefit analysis and an extensive publication record across a range of interests related to the environment.

Richard is director of Sustainability & Carbon Management Services.

Mr. Nicholas Lewis - Director

Nick holds a Bachelor of Science (Environmental Science) and a Bachelor of Biological Science with Honours (Environmental Monitoring).

Nick has an extensive record of project management and consulting services to a range of government and private sector clients encompassing vegetation offset trading, water management, environmental risk assessment, environmental planning and monitoring, business case and feasibility study development, triple bottom line analysis, funding applications and environmental management planning, implementation and management.

Nick has completed the Victoria Government’s Gateway Review Training and Bushbroker Offset Analyst Training.

Nick is director of Vegetation Offsets (Bushbroker) & Triple Bottom Line Planning & Investment Analysis.


Mr. John A Lewis – Senior Associate

John holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and Master of Science, both in marine biology, from the University of Melbourne.

John has more than 30 years of applied scientific experience with primary research interests in marine biofouling and biofouling management, and the effects of maritime activities on the marine environment.  He is a nationally and internationally acknowledged expert on antifouling technologies. A major focus of recent work has been on introduced and invasive marine pests, with emphasis on the assessment and management of vessel biofouling as a vector for their translocation.  John has extensive experience in the identification of macroalgae and marine fouling invertebrates, with specialist expertise in barnacles and serpulid tubeworms.

John manages Marine Ecology.


Mr. Michael Crowe – Senior Associate

Michael holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Melbourne University.

Michael has over 30 years experience in environmental policy and has played a pioneering role in many environmental programs in Victoria, including those in biodiversity conservation, biodiversity offsets and climate change.  He has particular expertise in the development and application of market mechanisms to environmental questions.  He instigated the BushBroker program and the Native Vegetation Credit Register and was closely involved in the development of BushTender.  Internationally he is a lead author for the Business and Biodiversity Offsets Program’s biodiversity offsets standard.
